Mission Statement:
Under God’s direction, the mission of Central Baptist is to glorify God by reaching our community and the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ, equipping and encouraging each individual through biblical principles, prayer, worship, fellowship, celebration, and supporting all people through expressions of Christ-like love.

Our Story:
Central began it's journey in September 1954. A member of Union Grove Baptist Church suggested establishing a mission in the Oak Ridge community, and within years, "Oak Ridge Baptist Mission" began services in the community elementary school. In 1964 the name was officially changed to "Central Baptist Church," and the church moved into its current location on Highway 68 in the "heart of Oak Ridge." In 1997, a larger sanctuary was built with an eye towards the future when it would be filled with individuals worshiping our God. AS time progressed, the need for more space was identified, and the "Launch into the Deep" campaign began. Ground was broken in 2009 for the new Family Life Center where we can all meet together for worship and fellowship. That building was completed and dedicated in September 2010. Our church family meets in both the Sanctuary and the Family Life Center each week to worship our God and to honor and serve Him in as many ways as possible.
